The head version of our Tone Philosopher amplifier. Circuit, functionality and tone are the same. And before you ask! The heads cost more to produce due to the floor mounted boxed-in, non inductive aluminum chassis'.

To the right is a  picture of the first head and 2x12 that were built. The chassis were finished by hand. Production level units will follow in the tracks of the combo's. They are produced on a laser table to help keep costs realistic.

 The accompanying 2x12 cabinet has been designed like the combo, for tonal performance. The size of the cabinet, dimensions of the rear kick panels (properly known as rear baffles) and the angle of the speaker baffle board were derived from extensive testing and acoustical engineering. The end result is performance that yields the best of both worlds. Closed back performance and open back performance combined in one package. Great low end performance like you'd find in a closed back cabinet, and great efficiency, sound stage and bloom found in open back cabinets. It's the best of both worlds!

The 40 watt head has the same tube line-up as the combo. Two EL34's and two 12AX7s. As with the combo, the 40 watt head can be set up to operate quality 6V6GT's and  produce 20 watts.

There is a 100 watt version that uses a pair of KT88's and is just crazy.... But some people like that. This is a custom build.

This was the very first head and 2x12 that was made. It was made in late January of 2011 for the guitarists on tour with Reba McEntire, Lee Ann Womack and George Strait to try out when they came through town on 2-04-11... Then Vince had a chance to play it and he said build me some. 

The 1st amp now belongs to a Gentleman here in Cincy, Paul Black. 

 After that it was apparent that we really did come up with something new and worth having!

We strongly recomend using our 2x12 cabinet. Allot of time and thought went into the design and that simply belong together.
